     telepath bought: Ricoh Caplio R7 Digital Camera
     Sketchy. Beware! Porta Gadgets uses a payment service called moneybookers.com. Transactions are CASH ADVANCES on your credit card. You will most likely be charged a heavy transaction fee ($5+) by your bank and you will be CHARGED INTEREST on the transaction immediately. I believe moneybookers.com is primarily used for online gambling and other less savory online activities.

    They sent me an email asking about address clarification. Replies were rejected by their mail server. I tried contacting them through their "Trouble Ticket" system. No reply. I called and left a message on their US number. Still nothing. I finally sent an email to the actual sender's address () asking to cancel the order. The reply (from Anne) said that canceling would incur a "25% restocking fee".

    They got me this time. I will NEVER order from them again.

     den_yoga2803 bought: Canon S5 IS with a 2GB SD Card. The option to add the card was very well thought out. As I am able to start using the camera when it arrived by Fedex courier delivery.
     Buying online is surely different than going to a retail store where you could look and feel. If you're an educated buyer, and would have done enough homework of the digital camera you wish to purchase, then the next step is getting online, deciding on the right online store to buy from.

    Besides reasonably lower prices, all we want as a consumer is peace-of-mind during the payment process, and (preferably) a shipping that is traceable such as using Fedex.

    Portagadgets were able to present the whole online shopping experience at it's easiest yet fulfilling those human-factor touch that is often lacking when dealing online. A+
